States across the nation are stepping up to protect our rights to a clean and healthy environment for all people regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or even generation! New York’s Legislature is the first to pass a modern-day Green Amendment, which will now be placed on the ballot in November 2021 for New Yorkers to decide. Will New Jersey be next?
Join us on Tuesday, April 13 at 7:00pm EDT for a film screening of Part 2 of PBS’s Here’s The Story: The Green Amendment, which uses New Jersey as a case study to demonstrate the transformational environmental justice benefits that a Green Amendment could have for impacted communities.
The half hour film will be followed by a live discussion with Founder and Executive Director of South Ward Environmental Alliance, Kim Gaddy and Founder of Green Amendments For The Generations, Maya van Rossum. Featured interviews include NJ Governor Phil Murphy, Former PA Senator Franklin Kury, Dr. Anthony R. Ingraffea, Octavia Sutphin, Mayor Gusciora, and more!
